The Program
Smart Families Impact helps partner schools build healthier technology habits through guided video presentations, facilitation resources, and practical marketing support. Schools launch at the start of a semester, gather in community, and receive ongoing guidance from Smart Families as they promote intentional, dignity-centered technology use.
Impact at a Glance
Schedule a Meeting
Schools begin by meeting with a Smart Families team member to learn more about the program, ask questions, and complete enrollment. You can begin this process by submitting the contact form on this page.
Launch at the Start
of a Term
New partner schools should launch Impact at the beginning of either the Fall or Spring semester. While the sample schedule proceeds across a full school year, schools that begin in the Spring term can complete it in a single semester.
Choose an Impact Lead
Each school designates an Impact Lead to help facilitate the program. This may be a principal, staff member, or dedicated parent volunteer.
Host the Presentations
Video presentations are designed to be shown in a group setting. The Impact Lead guides the conversation using our downloadable facilitation guides.
Follow the Yearly Program Cycle
Smart Families Impact runs on a yearly cycle, with new content each year. Year 1 includes five core presentations for the school community.
Receive Ongoing Support
Throughout the year, a dedicated Smart Families Impact Coordinator supports partner schools, shares resources, and remains available for questions and guidance.
Promote the Program
Partner schools can access flyers, social media assets, email templates, and other promotional tools in the Marketing Hub to help share the presentations and the Smart Families mission.
Emphasize the Smart Pledge
The Smart Pledge is the centerpiece of the Smart Families program. As more families take the pledge, intentional tech habits can take root in your community. Make sure to use our marketing materials and schedule a Pledge Push to make the most of Impact.
